Hey I’m Christian! I’m a pre-med student currently in a gap year as I prepare for medical school applications. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry at Texas State University. I also completed a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Biomedical Sciences with a 4.0 GPA at The University of Texas at Dallas.

I wasn’t always a perfect student myself, but I learned how to turn things around and become successful in rigorous coursework. Because of that, I understand what it feels like to struggle, and I know how to help students push past those challenges. I try to bring that perspective into my tutoring. I focus on making complex material more understandable and less overwhelming. My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and build confidence. I typically structure sessions by first breaking down concepts in a simple way, then walking through examples together.

I have experience teaching in multiple settings. I was a Teaching Assistant for an undergraduate Anatomy course as well as a Teaching Assistant for a medical Histology course during my post-bacc. In these roles, I’ve lectured to classrooms of around 30 students, led small group study sessions with 5–10 students, and provided one-on-one support. Through this, I’ve worked closely with students who needed extra help to keep up, and I’ve developed a patient and supportive teaching style that meets students where they are. I specialize in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, and Neuroscience.
