I tutor math with a strong focus on clarity, confidence, and real understanding. My academic background includes extensive college-level coursework in mathematics and related STEM subjects, including Calculus I, II, and III, Engineering Physics I and II, and other advanced quantitative coursework. I currently serve as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for Calculus II & Calculus III, where I help college students strengthen their understanding of core concepts, problem-solving strategies, and test preparation in a peer-led academic setting. In this role, I guide students through difficult material in a way that is organized, approachable, and practical.

My teaching experience began even before my work in math. I have been teaching music in one-on-one and group settings for about 20 years, and that long background helped me develop a patient, adaptable, and personalized teaching style. I now bring those same strengths into math tutoring. My experience has primarily involved working with college-age students in both group support sessions and individualized instruction, helping learners build confidence and develop step-by-step systems for approaching challenging problems.

My teaching style is encouraging, methodical, and focused on lasting improvement. I do not just show students how to get an answer. I help them understand why a method works, how to recognize patterns, and how to apply ideas independently in future problems. My goal is to help students improve their grades while also building the kind of problem-solving ability and confidence that will continue to serve them beyond a single class or exam.
