I hold an undergraduate degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a Master's in Finance from DePaul University. In addition to my academic qualifications, I am certified to teach in Texas, with a specific focus on elementary education. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in the Eanes ISD, where I’ve worked with 5th-grade students in a variety of subjects. This year, I am teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies, and last year, I taught Math to 5th and 5/6th grade students. These experiences have shaped my teaching approach, allowing me to develop a flexible, student-centered style.
During my time in the classroom, I’ve learned that every student brings unique strengths and challenges to the table. My teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering a growth mindset and a love of learning. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and take risks. I use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of my student, whether that means using hands-on activities, real-world connections, or more traditional methods to ensure deep understanding of the material. I am committed to making learning engaging and accessible for all students, whether they need extra help or are ready for a greater challenge.
Although I have only been teaching for two years, I have had the opportunity to teach a broad range of students, from those who need remediation to those who are ready for more advanced material. My experience has shown me the importance of individualized attention, especially in subjects like Math and ELA, where students often have varied levels of confidence and ability. As a tutor, I focus on building a strong foundation of skills, while also nurturing students’ confidence and curiosity. I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals and develop the skills they need to succeed both in and outside the classroom.
