Hi, I’m Madi! I love helping students move past 'just surviving' chemistry and empowering them finally start understanding it. I hold a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry and a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, giving me a strong foundation across several areas of chemistry. During my doctoral training, I won first place at our annual student research conference two years in a row, an experience that strengthened my ability to clearly explain complex scientific concepts. I specialize in undergraduate courses including General Chemistry I & II, Analytical Chemistry, and introductory Biochemistry.

I have five years of experience in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. Through this experience, I’ve seen exactly where students tend to get stuck and, more importantly, what professors are looking for on exams. I also have a special place in my heart for nontraditional and returning students. I understand the grit it takes to balance school with life; I actually defended my dissertation while nine months pregnant, so I’m ready to support you through whatever challenges you're facing!

In our sessions, we’ll focus on understanding the concepts behind the problems rather than just memorizing formulas. My goal is to break complex ideas into clear, logical steps so you can approach chemistry with confidence and independence.
