My tutoring style is collaborative and goal-oriented. I use motivational interviewing to help students clarify what they want to achieve—whether that’s raising a grade, strengthening writing and study skills, preparing for exams, or staying on track during a busy semester. Together, we break big goals into manageable steps and focus on strategies that actually work for each student.
I take a holistic approach and recognize that academic success doesn’t happen in a vacuum. I consider factors like work schedules, extracurriculars or athletics, stress and mental health, learning differences and disabilities, and individual identities that may impact learning. My aim is not just short-term improvement, but helping students develop skills and confidence they can carry forward long after our sessions end.
