Bilingual Tutor: Economics, SAT Math, and Mandarin

I studied economics at the University of Texas at Austin, where I graduated with honors. My academic background includes both macroeconomics and microeconomics, as well as strong quantitative coursework. I also earned a perfect score on the math section of the SAT. This combination allows me to support students in SAT math, precalculus, and economics by explaining concepts clearly and connecting problem-solving strategies to underlying ideas.

I have about one year of teaching experience working with students across a range of ages. I have taught language to elementary and middle school students in both one-on-one and small group settings, with an emphasis on building strong foundations and keeping students engaged. I have also worked with high school and college students in economics, helping them better understand course material, prepare for exams, and develop confidence in applying economic concepts.

My approach to teaching is flexible and student-focused. I take time to understand how each student learns and what they find most challenging. From there, I adapt my explanations, pacing, and practice materials to fit their needs. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically but also to help them feel more confident and independent in their learning over time.
