I earned my Associate of Science degree from Lone Star College Cy-Fair, which I completed concurrently while I was in high school. I also graduated high school summa cum laude with five academic endorsements. This academic background has given me a strong foundation in science, math, and analytical thinking, as well as experience managing rigorous coursework at both the high school and college levels. Because I completed college level classes early, I understand what students often struggle with when transitioning to more demanding material and how to explain concepts in a clear, structured way.
I also have formal tutoring experience from working at Kumon during the summer while I was in high school, where I taught students approximately between the ages of five and ten in a one-on-one setting. My approach focused on patience and understanding rather than memorization. I regularly checked that students could apply the underlying logic of a problem instead of repeating steps without comprehension, helping them build confidence and independent problem-solving skills.
In college, I have continued tutoring informally through study groups , teaching a variety of subjects across different classes. These experiences have primarily been small group sessions with college-aged students, where I help break down complex topics, organize study strategies, and improve overall understanding of course material. Across all age groups, my goal as a tutor is to create a low-stress environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and truly learning the material, not just preparing for an exam.
