I am a dedicated computer science and physics tutor with several years of experience teaching students from middle school through high school. I specialize in AP Computer Science A, AP Computer Science Principles, Java, Python, and introductory programming, as well as AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C. I have taught and tutored students in both one-on-one and group settings, and I have conducted over 60 sessions, working with more than 80 learners across 19 different countries. These experiences helped me develop a clear, patient, and structured teaching style that adapts to each student’s needs and learning pace.

My background includes serving as an NHS computer science tutor, teaching Java to students at a coding bootcamp, and mentoring younger students in my school’s computer science community. I have also taught students in person through official tutoring organizations and online through platforms that focus on academic support. Many of my students come to me feeling unsure about their abilities, and I enjoy helping them build confidence by breaking down complex concepts into simple, intuitive steps. Whether I am explaining recursion in Java or helping a student understand Newton’s laws, I focus on developing deep understanding rather than memorization.

When I work with a student, I begin by identifying strengths, gaps in knowledge, and preferred learning styles. From there, I find practice problems, walk through examples, and model the type of thinking needed for exams like the AP tests and the SAT. I also emphasize study strategies, organization, and long-term retention. Students have described my sessions as supportive, engaging, and easy to follow, and I aim to make every session productive and encouraging. My goal is to help students master the material and feel confident in their abilities, whether they are preparing for a test, catching up in class, or exploring computer science for the first time.

AWS

AWS

I hold both AWS Cloud Practitioner, AI Practitioner, and Solutions Architect certifications. I have hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, including AWS Lambda, S3, SageMaker, and cloud architecture principles. I have guided students and beginners through practical projects, explaining concepts like scalability, reliability, and deployment in clear, step-by-step terms. My approach focuses on combining theoretical understanding with real-world application, ensuring students can confidently use AWS tools for projects, coursework, or exam preparation. I enjoy helping learners of all levels develop both practical skills and a strong conceptual foundation in cloud computing.
Computer Programming

Computer Programming

• Proficient in Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and MySQL • Completed AP Computer Science A; experience teaching AP CS A–level concepts • Tutored and mentored students in object-oriented programming, loops, conditionals, arrays, and problem-solving • Built real-world projects including Python applications, web apps, and database-backed systems • Experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB) and automation/scripting • AWS Certified Solutions Architect + AI Practitioner • Skilled at teaching beginners and younger students with clear, step-by-step explanations
Java

Java

I have several years of experience programming and teaching in Java. I earned a 5 on the AP Computer Science A exam and have taught Java to middle and high school students through a coding bootcamp, NHS tutoring, and one-on-one sessions. I’ve helped students learn core Java concepts including object-oriented programming, classes and methods, inheritance, recursion, arrays, ArrayLists, and algorithmic problem-solving. In addition to teaching, I’ve used Java in competitive programming, academic projects, and automation tasks. I focus on building deep conceptual understanding and exam-ready problem-solving skills, especially for AP Computer Science A students.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I have extensive experience tutoring high school students in SAT Math, focusing on both content mastery and effective test-taking strategies. I help students strengthen skills in algebra, geometry, data analysis, and problem solving, while teaching techniques to manage time and reduce errors. My approach combines targeted practice, step-by-step explanations, and personalized guidance to address each student’s weaknesses. Many of my students have improved their scores significantly by understanding not just the answers, but the reasoning behind each question.
