Hi, I’m Carl David B., a Guinness World Record-winning film director. I am also a film producer, screenwriter, technical writer, English textbook author, and novelist. I have an MA in Mass Communication from the University of South Florida. My BS is in biology and zoology, with graduate work in microbiology.

My interests are writing, directing, and teaching. As a former college professor of English, SAT instructor, and textbook author, I have helped thousands of students with their career searches and graduate studies. I have also taught police officers, firefighters, and military personnel.

My passion is teaching writing. Nothing I have ever done in my life has had a more positive and rewarding impact than teaching English in college, watching my students improve and giving them the confidence to pursue their dreams. Furthermore, in my classes, students were required to read their papers in front of the class. They competed with each other, and some received standing ovations for their excellent work. College administrators would often visit my classes for the sheer sense of entertainment, listening to my students read their papers at the podium.

Today, my goal is to be a mentor to students who want to master the art of writing. All writing, whether it is technical, creative, screenwriting, novel writing, short stories, web content, or college entrance exams, stems from the same basic skill set. Once you learn these fundamentals, which I also cover extensively in my new book, “Power of the Written Word,” you can excel in any writing endeavor. Remember, in the world of AI, learning to write well might be the most important skill to hone.
