I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin, where I am an Alan Turing Scholar in the university’s honors program. My coursework includes advanced studies in Artificial Intelligence, Data Structures, Machine Learning, and Software Engineering, providing me with both a strong theoretical foundation and hands-on programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, C++, and JavaScript. In addition to my formal education, I’ve conducted research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), where I co-authored a peer-reviewed paper published at ACM IUI 2024, further strengthening my ability to explain complex technical concepts in accessible ways.

I’ve been tutoring and mentoring students in computer science and math for several years, working with high school and college-level learners in both one-on-one and small group settings. My approach to tutoring emphasizes understanding over memorization: I focus on helping students grasp the “why” behind algorithms and equations before diving into implementation or problem sets. This method encourages independent thinking and confidence, particularly for students who may initially feel intimidated by STEM subjects. I also adapt my teaching style to the student’s learning preferences, using analogies, visualizations, and real-world examples to make abstract ideas more intuitive.

In addition to formal tutoring, I’ve taught coding workshops through my roles at AI Camp and various startup teams, mentoring students aged 14 to 22 in programming fundamentals, project development, and technical communication. These experiences have taught me how to balance patience with rigor, ensuring students feel supported while also being challenged. I’m passionate about creating a collaborative and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas.
