I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Childhood Learning and Development, along with a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction. My academic background gives me a strong foundation in both child development and how people learn, which I bring into every tutoring session. During my undergraduate years, I also worked as a research assistant in psychology labs, where I helped design and explain concepts to peers—an experience that sharpened my ability to break down complex material into clear, approachable steps.
I have experience tutoring elementary school students in all subjects, from reading and writing to math, science, and social studies. My focus is on helping children not only complete assignments but also build long-term skills and confidence. I recently began working with a fifth-grade student who felt overwhelmed by her workload, and through daily two-hour sessions I guided her in math, history, and science while also helping her manage stress and stay focused. I also emphasize strategies like active reading, organization, and positive reinforcement to keep sessions engaging and productive.
In addition, I tutor high school and college-level students in psychology as well as SAT Reading and Writing. I draw on my strong academic background to teach students how to analyze passages, identify grammar patterns, and write clear, structured essays. My approach combines practice with test-taking strategies, so students not only understand the material but also know how to apply it under timed conditions. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, I adapt my teaching style to meet each student’s needs, always aiming to make learning approachable, engaging, and confidence-building.
