I believe every student has the potential to succeed when given the right support and encouragement. As a neuroscience major with a minor in psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, I have developed a strong foundation in how people learn and what motivates them. My academic background allows me to break down complex concepts into manageable steps, making SAT English preparation and college counseling both accessible and engaging.
For the past three years, I have worked closely with high school students in a variety of settings, including one-on-one sessions and small groups. I am proud to have helped students from diverse backgrounds, including first-generation college applicants and English language learners, achieve significant improvements in their SAT English scores and gain confidence in their college applications. My approach is highly personalized: I focus on building rapport, understanding each student’s unique strengths, and using proven strategies such as active reading, vocabulary development, and individualized feedback to help them reach their goals.
Tutoring, to me, is more than just teaching test strategies or editing essays, it’s about empowering students to believe in themselves and their abilities. I strive to create a supportive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks. My goal is to demystify the SAT and college admissions process, making it a positive and rewarding experience. I am passionate about helping students unlock their potential and take the next step toward their academic dreams.
