I am Gautam, a student at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience with a concentration in Applied Statistical Modeling. My academic background has been shaped by a strong foundation in mathematics, both through advanced coursework and competition. In high school, I completed the International Baccalaureate Programme, graduated in the top 1% of my class, and earned recognition as a National Merit Finalist and U.S.A. Mathematical Talent Search Silver Medalist. These experiences not only strengthened my math skills but also taught me how to communicate complex ideas in a clear, approachable way.

I have formal tutoring experience from working at the Art of Problem Solving Academy, where I mentored students ages 10–18 in subjects ranging from Algebra to competition-level problem solving. I also led a summer program of about 20 students preparing for the AIME, designing lessons, guiding group discussions, and helping students develop strong problem-solving strategies. In addition, I founded SOAR, a nonprofit that connected students with academic support during the pandemic, giving me further experience working with peers and younger students in one-on-one and small group settings.

My tutoring style is focused on meeting students at their level and breaking down difficult topics into manageable steps. I make sure students not only complete their assignments but also build confidence and independence in their problem-solving abilities. Whether it’s K–12 math, Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus, my goal is to make math engaging and approachable while helping each student achieve lasting success.
