Hi there! I’m Hibbah, and I love helping young learners build confidence and curiosity in English Language Arts and Social Studies.
I am a current Youth and Community Studies major at the University of Texas, with minors in Government and Urdu. At the end of my track, I will be certified to teach ELA and Social Studies to middle and high schoolers, and I plan to earn certification for general elementary education as well. Teaching is my calling in life. I have two years of experience working in classrooms supporting students both one-on-one and in small groups. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be when a student feels seen, supported, and capable—and that’s exactly the kind of environment I try to create.
I’m especially passionate about Government, history, and reading. I believe these subjects help students understand the world and their place in it. Whether we’re diving into a historical event or analyzing a great book, I aim to make every session meaningful and engaging.
My teaching style is gentle, patient, and encouraging. I meet students where they are, and I help them move forward at their own pace, build their confidence, and celebrate their progress. I know that every child learns differently, and I take the time to get to know what works best for each one. Parents have told me they appreciate how I create a calm, encouraging environment where their child feels safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.
If you're looking for a tutor who will not only help your child with schoolwork but also build their confidence and love of learning, I’d be honored to be a part of their journey.
