Hi! My name is Nadia and I’m a sophomore in university who is majoring in psychology on a pre-law track.

During my time at a vanguard high school, I thrived in my English classes and discovered that writing essays wasn't just an academic requirement, but a source of fulfillment for me. This passion for language arts is something I anticipate sharing with my Wyzant students. My goal is to transform English class into not just an educational experience, but also an engaging and enjoyable one.

I believe that any student can write an essay. However, good essays incorporate passion that can be difficult to find when limited by prompts, requiring some creativity. As such, I am eager to help with essay drafting, writing, revision, or review -- including CommonApp essays.

Additionally, I am able to help with English courses and AP test preparation, such as reviewing required reading for AP Literature or practicing the MCQ section of the AP Language exam. I am also happy to assist with SAT EBRW preparation and can provide strategies, practice, and other guidance to help students achieve their best possible scores.

I personally scored within the 99th percentile in the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section of the SAT, received a 5 on both AP English Language and AP English Literature, have been writing for school newspapers for 4 years, was a part of my high school’s National English Honor Society, and currently work with a multitude of international students (ESL).

I've previously worked with students of all ages and backgrounds and was a teaching assistant for freshmen in my senior year of high school. Most of my experience lies in essay writing and revision, SAT tutoring, and college essay assistance but my expertise expands beyond these fields into mathematics, sciences (incl. I have studied psychology since I was in middle school and am well acquainted with the field due to a longstanding passion for it. I am familiar with a majority of the theorems, cases, and experiments. Additionally, beyond personal studies, I have pursued the field academically as well. I received a 5 on the AP Psychology exam in 2024 and am now majoring in the subject. I am actively taking junior level psychology classes.
