I am well versed in various mathematics standards, particularly the Texas TEKS, as well as other states' standards, and can tutor subjects from elementary math - Algebra II. I have a bachelors and masters in math from UT Austin.
I believe strongly that the foundation for mathematics is understanding. I work to help students make sense of the mathematics rather than memorize rules. I have endless patience and have a knack for explaining concepts in ways that are easy to understand. I use pictures, graphs, and images or animations to help students make sense of mathematics.
