My name is Alen, and I hold a PhD in Economics with a minor in Management. During my time in university, I discovered that it wasn't just the subjects I was interested in that made my classes enjoyable, but rather the engaging and comprehensible teaching style of certain professors. These educators went the extra mile to ensure clarity and were always available for additional help or clarification, which greatly influenced my own approach to tutoring.

Drawing from this experience, I strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for my students. My tutoring sessions are structured yet flexible, beginning with an introduction to the topic in a fun and creative manner, followed by explicit teaching and ample opportunities for independent practice. I understand that each student has unique needs, so I adapt my methods accordingly.

With five years of tutoring experience, primarily in math ranging from elementary to ninth-grade Algebra 1, I have honed my skills in both individual and group settings. I worked closely with students who required extra assistance, including those in small focus groups, ensuring that no one fell behind. Additionally, I held daily after-school tutoring sessions covering a range of subjects beyond math, including Geometry, Biology, and other lessons.
