I am fluent in American Sign Language as it is my primary language. I have great organizational skills which will come in handy for classes. As any other teacher knows, multitasking is a necessary skill in the field of education. With years of experience at a few schools, I learned how to multitask well.

I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in General Studies from Tarleton State University. I had some practical experience during my time at Tarleton State University due to some education classes I took. I am also currently working on the Teachers of Tomorrow Alternate Certification Program. Additionally, I worked as an Educational Assistant at Kendall Demonstration Elementary School, and Deerpark Middle School and have worked with Live Oak Elementary in the past. We used sign language as the main mode of communication. Over the years, I have been acquainted with a wide range of skills and training that have benefited me while working with students at different Schools.

My field experiences were at Wright Elementary School in January 2017, Chamberlain Elementary School in August 2017, Acton Middle School in January 2018, and Live Oak Elementary in August 2019 as an educational assistant (ECSE). It has given me the opportunity to gain new experiences, skills, and different perspectives within the classroom setting from each school I had the privilege to work with. According to the job posting, it is acknowledged that Hays Independent School District is seeking candidates whom have excellent skills relevant to an American Sign Language teacher. I have a thorough knowledge of appropriate and life-applicable learning activities and experiences in the areas of social, physical, intellectual, cultural, and emotional development of the Deaf way of life.
