I am Chitra R, I am a qualified and certified teacher and I have a Bachelor's degree in Math and Physics , I also have a Bachelor's degree in Education with Specialization in teaching methodology for Math and Physics from India. I completed the UTeach teacher certification program from UT Austin and I am a certified Math 7-12 classroom teacher from the State of Texas.

My passion for Math and teaching it reflects in my Career Objective which is to inspire among students the joy of exploring the world of Mathematics  with an in depth understanding, making connections with real life applications and enjoy the synergy that learning  Math brings out in all involved.

I have more than 12 years of teaching math at both middle and high school level in classrooms in India . Teaching Algebra is something I love, and I have a year's classroom experience of teaching experience in 11th grade Algebra II in a Public School in the US .

My lessons are interactive, engaging and I believe in incorporating judicious use of technology as teaching aids to cater to both auditory and visual learners , for example integrating simple technologies such as Power points, Google slides, games/Quizes. I worked towards instilling in students the need for regular practice through activities which are interactive and fun to learn. I have also worked with students after school hours if they needed further assistance in understanding concepts.
Teaching students at their level , understanding their learning needs and bringing them to grade level or beyond is a motivating factor for me. To help nurture the art of learning amongst students and apply what they learn in Math and recognise its application in the real world is my reward.
