Hi! I am teacher in the Austin area and am passionate about education. I have experience teaching elementary and middle school English Language Arts, Science and History/Social Studies for the last four years. I am also volunteer ESL teacher to adult learners. I have taught online, hybrid and in person. I am certified through the state of Texas and I also have an ESL certification.

As a lifelong learner, I believe that knowledge of history and literature can help students understand themselves, the world around them, and ultimately where they fit into that world. I love watching my students grow in reading fluency, and comprehension. One of my favorite things is to see that light bulb go off in a student's brain when they understand something new.

I taught 6th grade social studies for 2 years. I taught 5th grade Science and Social Studies. I have also tutored in English, Reading, and Math. Students that I tutored in English and Math passed their STAAR test in the spring. I passed the Core Subjects EC-6 content area test.

I have taught Reading and Writing in Middle School for two years. My students broke records on the standardized test and went on to outperform themselves the next year as well. I have also taught Social Studies for 5 years, and I teach my students to write. Many adults don't know how to write a standard essay without using AI, I think writing is important for everyone to learn. I am passionate about helping every child reach their writing potential.

Very professional and patient tutor

My daughter was very happy with Hannah and said she would like to keep her. My wife said she was enthusiastic and friendly. I would like to see my daughter learn the daily phrases a kid goes through at elementary school. Hannah did a good job on the first lesson.
