Hello! I am excited about the possibility of being a tutor for you as I am a lifelong learner with a passion for helping others. My areas of expertise are Accounting (Introductory and Intermediate level classes), Finance (Introductory level classes) and Marketing (all classes and levels). I held my CPA license for over 10 Years and have spent over 20 years in Marketing marrying both my creative side with my love of numbers working in Brand Management for both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies. Before that, I spent 4 years after college working at an international public accounting firm focusing on financial and tax accounting.

I have an MBA from Duke University where I focused my studies on Marketing and Finance. While I was at Duke I served as a Teaching Assistant and tutor for the following classes: Marketing Analytics, Brand Management, Corporate Finance, and Statistics. My undergraduate degrees are from the University of Missouri where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's degree in Finance.

Currently, I am tutoring both college-level and graduate (MBA) students in Marketing, Accounting, and Finance and would love to add more students. I believe that all students learn differently and, as such, I adapt my tutoring methods to what works best with the student’s particular needs, whether that be reviewing in-class material, finding additional problems to work on, setting up case studies, or just doing homework together. I would love to help any student looking to enhance their business knowledge and I have a flexible schedule so I can work with you to schedule sessions. I look forward to working with you soon!

I have been responsible for managing over 15 different businesses from less than $1 million in annual revenue to over $100 million including direct P&L responsibility. In these businesses, I have had direct responsibility for all functions including marketing, finance, operations and sales. I have also served as a mentor and guide to many entrepreneurs and shared my learnings with them to help them grow their businesses. My broad experience has provided me with exposure to a wide variety of business issues and situations that I am excited to share with students and help them learn.

Amazing business finance tutor

Carrie is so sweet and helpful, I was struggling with the course Business Finance and had taken it multiple times, but with her help I was able to finally pass the class and get an 80% on the final exam. She really takes her time in making sure you understand the material, and cares about you and your progress. She teaches based on how the professor is teaching and what they are looking for specifically. She was able to teach me a lot about the topic and especially about what the professor missed out on. She made the class way more bearable and allowed me to finally be done taking this course. She is an amazing tutor and if I have any more math classes in the future, I will definitely only ask for her help. This was the only time I have ever looked forward to tutoring and doing finance!

I had a compilation report assignment for my Master's in Accountancy program and Carrie was very informative and very helpful. She is very skilled in all of the computer software that were required and not only helped with the assignment, but also making sure that it was a clean final document.
