A little bit about me!

Alyx G.

Hello! My name is Alyx and I graduated from Hill College in the spring of 2020 with an Associate of Arts in Kinesiology. I am currently working on my Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a minor in education and specialization in coaching. I worked at Ivy Kids for 6 months and have been a 6th grade math tutor since June. I have played collegiate level softball, coached an 18u select softball team and currently coach a 14u select team.

I have always had a passion for becoming a teacher and a softball coach and I am beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to step into my career field! I have obtained an award for All Academic Team in college, received a position on the Deans list and Presidents list in my two years at Hill, and was invited to join the National Beta Club in middle school and high school.

I have received an A in every math class since 6th grade. I have been a 6th grade math tutor since June and my student has brought their math grade up 3 letter grades.

I have played softball for 16 years and just recently retired. I started playing select softball at 14 and received a scholarship to play for Hill College softball as a middle infielder. I was a catcher until my junior year and a middle infielder for my last 4 years. I gave hitting, fielding and entry level pitching lessons. I was an 18u select team assistant coach and am currently an assistant coach for a 14u select team. I have always loved playing and little did I know I would enjoy coaching so much more!

I feel it is very important to teach based on skill level and style of learning. I will help you reach your full potential in your struggle subject based on your needs.
