I am prone to months-long obsessions over various topics ranging from psychology to history to philosophy. While I wouldn't pretend to be an able tutor in every subject I take an interest in, I do know how to study. Entering college, I already had two years thanks to AP credits, half of which I self-studied for. It wasn't just for the credits that I signed up for the tests, I have a genuine passion for learning and believe knowledge can expand one's worldview, but also one's ability to find the beauty in how things work. I live for the moments when my explanation lands and someone's mind is opened to new knowledge. This makes it easier to retain information since the knowledge isn't in disparate facts, but part of a system that informs itself and the world.
