I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Communication from DeVry University and a Master of Public Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management. I also earned a certification in Adult Experiential Learning through the Dominica Adult Education Division, which has shaped the way I design lessons to be interactive, practical, and centered on the learner’s goals.
My teaching experience spans a variety of settings and student groups. Earlier this year, I worked with the Government of Dominica as an instructor, training members of the local population in business communication, entrepreneurship, and business management. I also taught cosmetic formulation courses both through the Adult Education Division and at the Dominica State Prison, working with adult learners from different backgrounds. In my professional career, I regularly create training programs for employees across multiple departments, designing the curriculum and leading sessions to improve communication, technical skills, and organizational operations.
I have worked with students at different levels, ranging from young adults to professionals and I adapt my methods depending on the learner’s goals. My approach is rooted in real-world application: I believe students learn best when they can connect lessons directly to their work, studies, or personal goals. Whether it’s improving Business English for a career opportunity, mastering communication for leadership roles, or learning the foundations of entrepreneurship and technology, I make sure each session is engaging, supportive, and tailored to the student’s needs.
