Hi, I'm Cindy! I graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I had always wanted to be a teacher and received my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I continued on through the Education department, but decided to change my degree to one that basically allowed me to make my own degree plan. The three areas of emphasis I chose were Early Childhood, Psychology and Mathematics. After graduation, I was accepted into an alternative certification teaching program and became certified in EC-12 Generalist, 4-8 Math, and ESL.
I was a substitute teacher in a variety of grades (K-12th) and subjects for a while before accepting a full time position teaching Pre-K. When I had my children I wanted to stay home with them so I began tutoring in the evenings. It gave me a break from my children, who were very young at the time, but I quickly realized just how much I enjoyed one-on-one tutoring. Every student is different and I strive to work with each one to create a custom plan together that is individualized and specific to their needs. That is a big part of why I'm still tutoring after all these years.
I would love to see how I can help you reach your goals! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a time to meet and discuss things further. I look forward to hearing from you!
