The previous tutor focused on reviewing the material my daughter had already covered in school. But we were looking for a more targeted and efficient approach to the APUSH curriculum. My daughter felt she was falling behind with the previous tutor's pace. With only 4 weeks left, Larry quicly identified the key areas she should focus on and provided strategies for tackling multiple-choice questions efficiently. Encouraging and Results-Driven Tutor
He has taught me effective strategies for approaching SAT reading passages, including how to quickly find key information, identify main ideas, and work through grammar structures. He explains concepts in a way that's easy to understand and gives plenty of practice examples to reinforce the skills. He is patient, encouraging, and always makes sure I fully understand before moving on. I can always ask a question when I have a doubt, and he will be sure to clearly explain it every time. Due to Larry's tutoring, I have seen a big improvement in my SAT reading scores and feel much more confident going into the test.

Amazing tutor, and an amazing person!
Larry has exceeded out expectations for SAT prep with my teen daughter. He is prompt, thorough, and gives continuous milestone checks that serve to encourage our daughter and show her progress. Additionally, Larry is very patient and empathetic when it comes to the kaleidoscope of teen moods and emotions. He always makes sure that our daughter is feeling up to her lesson so that it can be a successful one. 10/10

Clear and Supportive Tutor
Larry was incredibly helpful in preparing my daughter for her AP World History exam on short notice. He introduced her to the I-D-C writing method and patiently walked her through how to apply it to short-answer questions. I really appreciated how he wrote examples with her and provided clear, accurate models for her to learn from. His approach made the structure and expectations of the AP exam much easier to understand. Dylan left the session feeling confident and well-prepared. Highly recommend!

Larry has been a pleasure to work with. He has been helping my son prepare for the upcoming APUSH exam and has really gone over and above with helping with his writing and being comfortable with writing the DBQ, SAQ and LEQ sections of the exam. He has also provided my son with several helpful materials which have been helping him with his review. Larry also provides a very thorough description of the lesson at the end of each lesson and where my son needs to focus on to improve. I am so glad that we went with Larry! There are many tutors to choose from but I feel like we made the right choice. If you are looking for a tutor to help prepare for the upcoming history AP exam you will be in excellent hands if you go with Larry. He has really exceeded our expectations.

Enthusiastic and thorough tutor
I loved working with Mr. Harmon for my upcoming APUSH exam. He gave me relevant and concise curriculum frameworks for each period and reviewed the tips and topics for writing LEQs, DBQs, and SAQs. We've gone through many SAQs, LEQs, and DBQs together, and I feel confident now in understanding how to write and achieve the points for all essays. He explains complex topics in a manner that is simple and easy to understand. I would definitely recommend him!
