“These are not the droids you are looking for”….Ever wish you could use jedi mind tricks on your chemistry exam? Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed with the terminology and the conversions? Whether you need help walking through a homework problem or studying for an exam, sometimes you need a jedi to help guide the padawan through the problems and gain confidence along the way.
I have taught college-level chemistry classes for 13+ years. I graduated with my Ph.D. in chemistry from Cornell University. Recently, I have focused on Introduction to Chemistry and General Chemistry courses (which includes AP Chemistry material) and have taught Quantitative Analysis and Instrumental Analysis in the past. I actively engage my students by addressing real-life problems (Why does ice float? What makes an effective pain killer? Why do lemons taste sour?) and including fun facts about chemistry and jokes. (Why can you never trust an atom?...Because they make up everything!)
Each session will begin with addressing questions you have. I will utilize a digital whiteboard to explain concepts step-by-step. Once we go over a few examples, you will have the opportunity to work through problems as I guide you through them. I will provide with a PDF of a summary of our session as well. Please send me a message to discuss your specific needs, and we can level-up on your learning journey because: “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving” (Albert Einstein).
