I continued my teaching career in United States in 2005 with one year in Catholic school in Altoona, PA. I taught Advanced Math 1 and Advanced Math 2 courses for one year using the Saxon textbook. My seniors students participated in PenState Senior competition and won 6 out of 8 prises. Next, I taught in Faifax County Public School in VA for six years. I taught Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB on regular and honors levels. I started tutoring in 2008 and have been tutoring since than.
As of today, I have been teaching for the last decade in Community College. I teach Developmental Math and credit Math courses including Elementary Statistics course. I enjoy seeing my students grow and succeed in learning Math. I teach my students to understand Mathematics and apply it in real life. I can Tutor all levels in Math, but I am more effective in tutoring honor level.
We cannot imagine teaching anymore without technologies. I use tablet, videos, PowerPoints, and notes. I always alternate my teaching based on the need of my students, constantly checking for understanding and progress. I would repeat materials several times in different ways, until students really get it.
I always enjoy seeing a big smile on the face of my students and the increase in their confidence to do Math.
