As a retired teacher, I quickly discovered that I missed teaching students and that my career in education might need to change, but is still in my bones! My teaching certificates are still valid for Middle School Science and Math, ESL and Theatre. I am a certified Math teacher for grades 4th-8th.
I am certified in Science 4th-8th grades and spent over half my teaching career teaching middle school Science. I am well versed in the TEKS for middle school Science in the State of Texas.
I spent 10 years as part of the after school and summer school STAAR recovery program tutoring both Math and Reading. The two years I taught 8th grade Science, my students scored the highest ever achieved at that time for RRISD, landing in the top 5% passing rate state wide.
I want students to know that both Math and science are EASY and predictable, even if that hasn't always been the case in the PAST. We can work together to master both subjects with hard work and laughter both!
