I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and have experience teaching at the elementary level in Texas public and charter schools. I currently homeschool my own children and tutor high school level classes at our homeschool group. I am highly proficient in Math and have a passion for it, but will tutor any subject that I have been certified for through WyzAnt. Algebra 1

This is where most of my tutoring experience has occurred. I am highly proficient in this subject and enjoy teaching students the best strategies and approaches to problem solving in Algebra 1.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is more demanding than its previous counterparts. If there is not a strong understanding of earlier math subjects, students will struggle here. I can help to fill in any gaps and to fix any confusion that has occurred in previous math courses to help ensure success in Algebra 2, as well as provide clarity for new concepts.
Elementary (K-6th)

I have my Bachelor's degree in Education and spent over 2 years in a classroom setting, teaching children at the elementary level. I currently homeschool my 2 elementary level children and have been successfully teaching them for 6 years.

Reading

Reading is not an easy task to learn. As a certified elementary teacher, I have experience in the one on one teaching that is crucial to a child's learning experience in this subject. If they are struggling in reading, all other subjects are likely to suffer as well. I can find your child's specific learning style and help him or her to catch up to - and even go beyond - where he or she needs to be!

Great tutor

Teresa has been a tutor for both my son and daughter, and has made math understandable and enjoyable for both. She has a lot of patience, and undoubtable knows her stuff. Teresa is young at heart and that enables her to connect with her students. She has been there with short notice to help make a difficult topic easier and without her my son would have failed.
