I am a former bench scientist and technical scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as a former high school Chemistry and Physics teacher with a strong background in pre-med sciences and mathematics. I specialize in 1:1 personalized coaching for struggling students, high achievers, and anxious test takers who need patient, expert guidance.

My teaching style is rooted in clarity, confidence-building, and kindness. I break down complex concepts in a way that makes students feel capable and supported. I work closely with parents and teachers to build a strong academic support system around the student so they never feel like they’re doing this alone.

I am a graduate of Canisius University in Biological Sciences, I recently certified to teach Life Science and I'm really excited about biology and teaching it to you!

For elementary level education qualifications, I teach Vacation Bible School to elementary level children every year. I spent three months teaching elementary art classes as an intern. I was also a volunteer baby sitter for the Army National Guard, where I spent time teaching children reading skills. My educational background includes a holistic education in high school, which fostered educational programs such as big brother big sister and tutoring programs where I experienced teaching and tutoring students on the elementary level. I am also in the process of pursuing my masters degree in biology, so that I can teach science in schools and on the collegiate level.

Read a lot of scientific articles, and got high grades in all my English classes throughout high school and college. Reading is a huge part of writing, and in order to hone one's skills as a writer, one must be a avid reader. Scored a 620 in SAT critical reading, in the 83rd percentile.

I believe I am qualified to tutor in study skills because of the rigor that my degree in premedical biology required. I am confident in my ability to asses a class and come up with a method of study that is uniquely tailored for success. I have been tutoring since high school and have been constantly adding to my repertoire of study techniques and have passed these successful techniques on to my students who, once having applied the techniques have seen dramatic increase in their grades. My specific tutoring method varies from student to student and is heavily rooted in individualized consultation, taking advantage of such things as; acronyms, flash cards, note taking, text reading, and relationship to everyday experiences.
