Hi, My name is Ahad! I am a graduate TA and tutor from Baylor University with a Major in Molecular Biology, and Minor in Chemical Sciences. I am a current Dental Applicant, and have made both the Honor Roll and the Dean’s list during my time in undergrad. My command of several high school Honors and AP programs remain sharp, as I have been tutoring these subjects consistently each summer. I am often described best by others as outgoing, dedicated, and easy to approach. There’s no such thing...
There’s no such thing as a “bad” question!
I learned firsthand throughout College that crunching through 50 textbook pages and jotting down Cornell notes is not only frustratingly exhausting, but also incredibly ineffective. The study plans I employ are what has gotten me and countless others through some of the toughest courses Academia has to offer, from Organic Chemistry to Linear Algebra. They consist of building a conceptual understanding, applying it to rigorous material, and finally navigating your way through the alternatives and exceptions. As your tutor, I want to build your foundations strong for the future, and teach you how to turn 5 hours of turbulent cramming into two hours of breezy review with a snack break.
I have tutored for around four years now, beginning with my friends and their siblings, to more recently getting licensed to work at my school’s official tutorial center. In that time, I have found my niche in the 7th-12th + Collegiate range, particularly with Biology, History, Chemistry, and Pre-Calculus Mathematics. My style is rooted in constructive criticism; the objective is to help you learn, not pester or intimidate you! Your time is my priority, so please let me know what you’d like to go over in advance so that I may provide for you as best I can. Feel free to contact me or schedule an appointment if you’re ready to begin!
To parents; If there’s anything I should focus on particularly, or specific things I should be mindful of when instructing your child, please let me know!
