I am a 4th-year medical student at the University of Houston College of Medicine with over five years of tutoring and teaching experience across multiple age groups and academic levels. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard University and later completed a Master of Science in Medical Sciences at Morehouse School of Medicine. During my Master's program, I began tutoring my peers in core medical science courses and also supported undergraduate students in subjects such as biology, chemistry, and physics.

Since then, I’ve worked with middle school, high school, college, and graduate students through both volunteer roles and professional tutoring companies. My areas of expertise include:

High School Science: Honors and AP Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology

Test Prep: ACT, SAT, MCAT, and USMLE

College-Level Courses: General Biology, General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, and other pre-med prerequisites

My teaching approach is student-centered, flexible, and grounded in active learning. I prioritize helping students understand the "why" behind each concept so they can develop critical thinking skills and solve unfamiliar problems with confidence. I avoid encouraging rote memorization and instead focus on building logical reasoning frameworks that foster long-term academic success. I tailor my methods to each student's learning style and goals.

I’m passionate about academic mentorship because I believe education is the key to opportunity. I strive to be a supportive guide who empowers students to reach—and exceed—their potential.

Basketball

Basketball

I have coached and assistant coached basketball for a youth YMCA team during my high school years. I have been an intermural referee for 3 seasons during college. I have played AAU and varsity basketball during my high school tenure and have been to multiple skill development camps.
MCAT

MCAT

I successfully took the MCAT in 2022 and have since tutored 12 students, all of whom went on to score competitively and matriculate into medical school. I create personalized 2- or 3-month study plans based on each student’s timeline and target score. My approach emphasizes a deep understanding of concepts, strategic review, analysis of incorrect answers, and targeted practice to address individual weaknesses. I focus on building strong test-taking skills and content mastery across all four MCAT sections. I scored a 518 on my MCAT which is the 96th Percentile with a score breakdown of 129/130/130/129 in Chem/Phys, CARS, Bio/Biochem, Psy/Soc.
