High School and College Teacher

I have been a teaching professional for the last 20 years in one capacity or another. I am a Texas certified teacher with certifications in Secondary Mathematics, Computer Science, Special Education, and General studies 4-8. I have worked with middle school, high school, college, and adult learners the majority of my career. In the high school setting, my primary focus has been on Algebra 1 and preparing students for standardized testing, i.e. Algebra 1 End of Course test (STAAR). Even the year following COVID we brought the passing average up to 85% passing from the previous teachers rate of 75%.

I also hold a Masters of Divinity with a focus in New Testament studies and Greek. I have extended hours in Biblical Greek at the Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral level. My tutoring experience focuses on New Testament Greek vocabulary, grammar, and translation. This tutoring is to help students who are in a college Biblical Greek class or who would like an in depth knowledge of Biblical Greek.

Finally, I began teaching piano lessons in 2004. I have an extensive background in music theory at the college level and have worked with piano students ranging in age from late elementary to adult. I can teach piano proficiency with reading music and understanding music theory. I also can teach chording to be used in a religious or secular setting to accompany voices and other instruments.

My major goal is to help individuals enhance their understanding and develop their skills. Whether it is mathematics, Greek, or music, I strive to help students find a new passion for their craft. I also want to help people build confidence in their area of study.
