I am a professional software developer who specializes in MATLAB-based and Simulink-based applications. I have taught MATLAB and Simulink to engineering professionals all over North America as well as to engineering majors at George Mason University. I have taught MATLAB and Simulink courses to engineers at IBM, GM, Northrop Grumman and several US government locations to name a few. My professional experience includes being the MATLAB facility instructor at Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney and other defense-related facilities. I have published at least a dozen technical articles and professional presentations on animations in the MATLAB environment.
The specific subjects I would provide to students include MATLAB, Simulink, Handle Graphics, MATLAB GUI development, GUIDE, Simulink 3D Animation and Instrument Control with a specialty on animations in the MATLAB environment. You will be amazed what you can do with MATLAB. I would be more than happy to build MATLAB GUIs for you or to teach you how to build customized MATLAB GUIs yourself.
My tutoring approach begins with a focus on very specific subjects and sharing with you all of the helpful hints and tricks that come with a career dedicated to said subjects. My approach will also include providing patient instruction for all those who are just learning how to program MATLAB code as I am very aware of the scope of what needs to be learned.
I graduated with a BSEE and an MSEE from George Mason University so engineering majors who need assistance with their MATLAB assignments have someone available who understands their difficulties learning MATLAB at the university level. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I taught MATLAB to engineering and computer science students at George Mason University over the course of nine semesters as adjunct faculty.
I was the Lead Instructor for at least 85 one- or two-day MATLAB and Simulink courses across North America where I taught at IBM, Northrop Grumman, NSA and GM Powertrain to name but a few.
I was a tutor at George Mason University where I earned a BSEE and an MSEE. I also taught MATLAB there as a graduate student under a teaching assistantship.
