I am a young professional who graduated in 2013 with my BA in Psychology from Lee University in Cleveland, TN. While studying at Lee I was a peer tutor, helping many students raise their GPA's and course grades. I excel in English and Art, but would be willing to tutor in Basic Math/Science subjects as well. I did not take any education courses, but I have a lot of experience with kids/teens and helping them complete their coursework. My younger siblings and I were all home-schooled, so I have been an aide to them over the years when my parents were busy, etc.
I love reading and writing, so those are my two biggest qualifications in tutoring English. I am skilled with spelling and grammar, as well, and have done a lot of peer-reviewing and proofreading during my college career. I would love to help your student with reading comprehension or creative writing/paper writing. As far as art, I took 2 years of ceramics courses while in school. I consider myself a pretty skilled ceramic artist, and have actually sold several pieces and have been commissioned to make pieces for people. I prefer hand-building to throwing on a wheel, and I have my own supplies I can utilize to teach your student.
I love working with kids, and have had 80+ hours of volunteer experience throughout college and high school working with infants/kids/teens. I am responsible and trustworthy and I am passionate about learning. I believe I would be a good resource to your student's learning needs.
