Before earning my degree, I took steps to become a teacher so I took children's literature classes and learned some of the best ways to help a struggling reader. I also currently tutor students in China. Students read a chapter before each class and then we go over it during the sessions. We talk about what happened in the story, literary elements, vocabulary, etc.
I love helping students learn to love reading. If you choose to do sessions with me, I'll make them fun and entertaining. I love teaching literary elements using students' favorite stories. Sometimes, I teach parts of literature by having students write their own stories.
