I hold a Master of Science in Counseling, a Master of Science in Health Education and Psychology of Physical Activity, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Counseling, which has strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively across different audiences and formats. My educational background allows me to tutor in psychology, counseling-related coursework, writing, and English, with experience supporting academic, professional, and creative forms of writing.
I have over a year and a half of teaching experience as the primary instructor for an undergraduate Introduction to Psychology course and have served as a graduate teaching assistant for a master’s-level Diagnosis and Psychopathology course. In these roles, I worked with traditional college-aged students and adult learners in structured classroom settings. My teaching approach is student-centered and evidence-based, drawing from cognitive and educational psychology to help students organize ideas, strengthen arguments, and develop their own voice in writing, whether they are working on essays, personal statements, creative pieces, or professional documents.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive experience providing one-on-one academic and skills-based support. I tutor students in writing and English across academic, creative, and professional contexts, including research papers, literature analysis, reflective writing, resumes, cover letters, and creative projects. I also support students with test preparation for exams such as the CPCE, NCE, EPPP, AP exams, and other standardized assessments by focusing on content mastery, test-taking strategies, time management, and anxiety reduction. Across all tutoring settings, my goal is to build confidence, clarity, and independence while helping students develop skills they can apply beyond a single assignment or exam.
