I have about 10 years experience using Access (including lots of VBA, because I'm a coding junkie). In the spring, I became a Microsoft Certified SQL Server Developer. Most of my technology teaching experience has come from teaching people I work with how to use software, and from doing two years of phone support.

Have used Access since 1997. I do database design and querying. I studied database design in graduate school. The coursework on database design that covered normalization and the normal forms helped a LOT. (Helps to know if you're right or wrong and why). In my professional experience, I wrote functions to create views of unnormalized tables, which could then be queried. I later rewrote the databases from scratch, which included forms, queries, code modules, and basic reports.
