Hello! My name is Patrick, and I am a student-athlete and Mechanical Engineering student at Tennessee State University. I have a passion for helping students build confidence in math by breaking down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement.
My experience includes serving as a high school academic mentor, working with students at the Boys & Girls Club, and tutoring students online in one-on-one settings. I've worked with elementary, middle school, and high school students, helping them strengthen their math skills, prepare for quizzes and exams, complete homework, and build a solid foundation for future courses. My teaching style is personalized because every student learns differently. I take the time to identify where a student is struggling and adjust my lessons to fit their learning style and pace.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by guided instruction, worked examples, and plenty of practice problems. As students gain confidence, I gradually encourage them to solve problems independently while providing feedback and support. I specialize in elementary math, middle school math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Whether a student needs extra support, wants to improve their grades, or is looking for an additional challenge, I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where they can succeed.
