Hi, my name is Hrithik! I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, and I am currently a fourth-year medical student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Throughout my education, I have learned that the most effective learning happens when material is taught clearly, patiently, and in a way that builds confidence rather than anxiety. I strive to bring that philosophy into every tutoring session.
I have experience tutoring a wide range of students across multiple subjects, from middle school mathematics to MCAT preparation. I have worked one-on-one with middle school students, including those with ADHD, focusing on developing individualized strategies that help them stay engaged, organized, and confident in their abilities. I understand that every student learns differently, and I adapt my approach to meet each student’s specific needs and learning style.
In addition to individual tutoring, I have experience teaching larger groups. I led Psychology and Sociology sections for an MCAT tutoring course, teaching classes of up to 30 students. In this setting, I focused on breaking down complex concepts into manageable pieces, emphasizing high-yield strategies, and helping students develop strong test-taking skills alongside a solid conceptual foundation.
My goal as a tutor is to make learning approachable and effective. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I am always open to feedback and collaboration with students and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
