About Matthew

Bio

I’m a Critical Care Paramedic (CCEMTP) with years of 911 and event medicine experience, and I specialize in helping EMT-B students pass the NREMT (National Registry). A lot of people consider EMT-B the hardest step in the EMS licensing ladder, not because it’s the most advanced, but because you’re building everything from scratch. Later levels (AEMT, Paramedic, critical care, flight) get to build on real field experience and a foundation you don’t have yet as a brand-new EMT student.

My tutoring style is calm, structured, and practical. We start with a quick diagnostic using NREMT-style questions to identify your weak areas, then we focus on the patterns behind the answers, airway and respiratory, shock, trauma priorities, cardiac/neuro, OB/peds, and EMS operations. I also teach the EMT-relevant anatomy/physiology and the “why” behind interventions so the material actually sticks (instead of feeling like random facts).

The goal isn’t just to pass the test, it’s to walk into your first shifts with a clear way to think: what matters, what’s dangerous, what’s next, and why. No one is ever fully “ready” for their first major call, but you can be prepared enough to stay calm, think clearly, and do the basics well. BLS before ALS, because strong basics are what everything else is built on.

EMT/ NREMT

I’m a working paramedic and Critical Care Paramedic (CCEMTP), and I specialize in EMT-B / NREMT (National Registry) exam prep. We’ll start with a quick diagnostic using NREMT-style questions to find your weak areas, then build a simple plan to improve fast. Sessions focus on the patterns behind common Registry questions (airway/respiratory, shock, trauma priorities, cardiac/neuro, OB/peds, EMS ops) plus the EMT-level anatomy/physiology that makes it all click. You’ll learn how to break down question stems, avoid trap answers, and choose the “next best step” confidently.
