I'm Leah! I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. I graduated with my PhD in neuroscience from Vanderbilt University in 2024 and with my BS in Cognitive Neuroscience from Brown University in 2018.
During my undergrad years, I participated in a community health advocacy program at Brown, preparing lesson plans and teaching health topics to elementary and middle school students. This afforded me an opportunity to see the individual ways in which youth of different ages learn and process information. For the last two summers, I have had the privilege of designing and teaching a one-week course on neurological disorders to a group of 20 11th and 12th graders. I firmly believe that tutoring should be a stress free experience in which I can focus on a student's individual strengths in order to sharpen his or her academic weaknesses. I am most passionate about tutoring in Neuroscience, Writing, and Math. In my spare time, I enjoy getting creative with watercolors, exploring the outdoors, and making gelato in my family's shop.
