Are you interested in being able to confidently play lead and rhythm parts in a band? Want to learn to write songs? Want to learn to just strum along to your favorite records by yourself?

I will teach you or your child all of the knowledge and tools needed to do whatever your dream is on your instrument. My aim is to help every student achieve their personal goals on their instrument within the context of a relaxed and patient environment that promotes a love of music!

I achieve this by:

1) Individualizing lesson plans so that each student stays engaged and learns in the style that is best for them as learners.

2) Ensuring that students learn BOTH how to play their instrument as well as the theory behind what they are playing. This creates a more well-rounded musician that is capable of thinking for themselves on their instrument and being able to play in a variety of settings.

I have been playing music for over 10 years and teaching private lessons since 2014. I go on tour around the U.S. and internationally playing lead guitar as a sideman for a variety of artists, play gigs every week in Nashville, and teach music lessons to a lot of wonderful humans.

The list of artists I have worked for includes: UMG Record’s The War and Treaty, EMI Record’s Artist Kylie Morgan, Roundr Record’s Artist Amythyst Kiah, Doug McCormick, Aberdeen, Cody Webb, The 12 South Band, the 8 South Band, and Safari Room among many others!

I graduated from Belmont University in the Spring of 2018 with a degree in Commercial Music, so I have had the "conservatory training" in regards to music theory and history, but before college I was largely a self-taught player and am now a full-time professional musician based out of Nashville, TN.

Ear Training

Ear Training

Aside from obtaining a bachelors of music from Belmont University where I had to take ear training courses that followed a classical solfège approach, I have learned thousands of songs from listening to records. I can hear chord progressions and tell you what changes are happening (6, 4, 1, 5....1, 1/3, 4, 57sus..... 2m7b5, 5dom7b13, 1m..... etc. I can teach solfège if need be, but also teach my current students to identify melodies using the number system.

I'm a full-time pro based out of Nashville, TN. I have taught lessons for 10+ years both in studios and privately. I also have toured extensively across the U.S. and some internationally. I have had two national television appearances in the last year and currently tour with UMG Artist The War and Treaty.
