Hello future students and parents! I’m Malachy, and I’ve been passionate about helping students succeed in their studies since high school. I graduated with honors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored and assisted in mathematics and engineering courses. Now, as a PhD student at Vanderbilt University with a 4.0 GPA, I’m researching innovative techniques in neurosurgery.

With over three years of independent tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students on everything from middle school math to advanced topics like differential equations and biomaterials. Whether in the classroom or one-on-one, online or in person, I’m dedicated to making complex concepts accessible by focusing on foundational understanding and encouraging students to learn at their own pace. I believe hands-on examples and a patient, understanding tutor create the best environment for learning. By relating complex topics to real-world applications, I help students engage deeply with the material, which is essential for long-term retention.
