MS/HS Spanish I and Spanish IV AP Teacher for Spanish tutoring

Hi everyone, my name is Courtney Richardson, and I am a middle school/high school Spanish teacher for Spanish I (Honors and standard) and Spanish IV AP Language and Culture. I have been teaching for five years, going on six this fall. I have a master's degree in secondary education and a bachelor's in Spanish and general business. I have a lot of experience teaching Spanish at the middle/high school level and tutoring Spanish at the college level.

In addition, I have traveled to Madrid and Salamanca, Spain, and Costa Rica, so I am very familiar with and teach vocabulary and grammar from a mixed Spanish/Latin American Spanish standpoint. One of my favorite things to do as a teacher is not only work with translation-based learning, but also practical application, where students are taught the grammar and vocabulary first, followed by practices with flashcards and or fun games to help them learn and apply the knowledge for themselves.
