I graduated with a Master of Science in Biology with a focus in Microbiology at East Tennessee State University in 2022. I also received two Bachelors of Science in 2020—one in Microbiology and the other in Chemistry.
My master’s thesis “Cyclic di-GMP regulates motility, biofilm formation, and desiccation tolerance in Acinetobacter baumannii” allowed me to apply my understanding of the subjects I tutor.
Currently, I am a Research Assistant II at Vanderbilt University researching many proteins necessary for insulin production and common mutations that give rise to diseases associated with diabetes. My future goals include furthering my education with a PhD focusing on bacterial pathogenesis and continuing research in biomedical sciences.
