Hi! I’m Liz, a fourth-year medical student at Washington University in St. Louis. I’m passionate about teaching the “why” behind biology and physiology, helping students move beyond memorization toward real understanding that supports success on exams like USMLE Step exams and the MCAT.
In medical school, I passed Step 1 and all shelf exams on my first attempt and scored a 255+ on Step 2. Before med school, I scored in the 99th percentile on the MCAT. I’ve developed strong strategies for mastering high-yield material, building structured study plans, and improving test-taking performance.
I primarily tutor USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, focusing on concept mastery, practice question review, and exam strategy tailored to your learning style and goals. I also work with pre-med students on MCAT content and strategy, as well as medical school applications, including personal statements, secondary essays, and interview preparation.
For application support, I help students develop authentic narratives, refine writing, and prepare for interviews through mock sessions, structured feedback, and tips to prepare for any question thrown your way!
My tutoring style is collaborative and individualized. I focus on identifying how you think, where gaps are forming, and how to build a sustainable, high-yield study approach that actually translates to performance.
I know how overwhelming these exams and application cycles can feel, and my goal is to help you approach them with more confidence that comes from deep understanding.
