As a first-generation college graduate and veteran who returned to school after military service, I experienced firsthand how the encouragement and support of my instructors was instrumental to my academic perseverance and success. That experience fuels my commitment to helping students from all backgrounds and educational levels build the skills and confidence to thrive academically. I understand the unique challenges adult learners and returning students face, and I strive to create supportive resources to help learners succeed. I have over three years of experience tutoring students from middle school, high school, community college and undergraduate university students. I have also tutored and trained adult learners in the workforce on writing, using computer applications and interview preparation.
I make complex scientific concepts accessible and exciting, whether you're preparing for a test, working on a thesis, studying for the GED, or mastering challenging coursework in the sciences. I also offer targeted support for job interview preparation and preparing for presentations. My approach combines clear explanations, real-world applications, and encouragement to build both knowledge and confidence. Having worked with everyone from high school students to adult learners returning to education, I understand that every student learns differently, and I tailor my sessions to each student’s preferences and needs.
