Bachelor's of Biochemistry with Previous Tutoring Experience

I'm Stephanie. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors in Biochemistry and a 3.78 GPA.
During my studies, I was employed by my college's student tutoring program to work with my peers (from freshmen to fellow seniors) who needed homework help for a variety of biology and chemistry related courses that I excelled in. I acquired a year and a half of tutoring experience on campus after hours, in a one-on-one setting and in small focus groups.
I emphasize the importance grasping the basics of science in the hopes that it will spark a new appreciation or interest in science, like my teachers and professors did for me. While teaching new concepts, I focus on making memorable connections between the new concept and a real-world occurrence that helps them understand the material, often by visualizing problems with drawings, for example. I also stress that practice is a great way to study, so we will often use the practice problems in the back of their textbook or come up with random examples on the spot. These methods are how I succeeded in class and helped others succeed.
I will never use generative AI in any way for my lesson plans. Every exercise is thoughtfully gathered and structured based on personal experience. Any resources and suggestions that can be provided by students and parents will be invaluable towards helping you and others.
At present, I am prepared to tutor college level biology and chemistry. In the very near future, I seek to expand my qualification to higher level courses.
